The exceptional panorama that surrounds us will allow us to take many breaks to admire La Meije and its glaciers. The start is very gentle: to get us started, we start by going down a trail to the Col du Lautaret. We walk in balcony facing the Meije and its glaciers to reach the superb Plateau d’Emparis at the end of the afternoon.

On the menu of the day, immersion in the Fond du Ferrand and its wild valley. Right after breakfast, a small tour of the lakes of the Plateau d’Emparis before a beautiful and playful descent to the typical village of Besse to get into shape. Once again, extraordinary panorama and imposing landscape. From there, 2 choices of itineraries are offered to us according to the level of the participants and the chosen formula.
Beware, portage on a steep path on the muscular version to reach the summit.

Back to civilization.
This stage starts with the ascent: We take the Sarenne gorges (cool moment) to reach the top of the village of the Alpe d’Huez resort.
Arrived at Allemont, we continue in direction of Bourg d’Oisans via Rochetaillée and its famous Roman way. Follow the “Roman way” to La Paute then arrive in Bourg d’Oisans by taking a path along the cliff.

The Trans Oisans in figures:
A departure from the Col du Galibier at 2620 m for an arrival in Bourg d’Oisans (720 m) after 3 days of mountain biking in magnificent landscapes. On the menu of these 3 days: the ascent and the crossing of the Plateau d’Emparis (Site classified Natura 2000), the crossing of Alpe d’Huez and its lakes before plunging on Bourg d’Oisans via singles enduros which will leave the beautiful part to the piloting.
Be careful, if you choose the classic mountain bike version:
This raid is reserved for experienced mountain bikers because of the physical commitment and the technical difficulties that can be encountered during its route. You must be an experienced mountain biker, able to ride up and down for 3 days, and have a good technical level in descent.
